Georgians support Salman Rushdie

In the previous post i have written about an activity of a Georgian youth. And really, that’s true, as it seems – they are becoming more and more actives, they involve in almost all action in our country.
But now, I would like to tell you about how had supported the young Georgian poets and writers famous britain writer Salman Rushdie.
My  facebook-friend  shared a post with loud headline yesterday , wich had attracted my attention instantly. As i understood, in 1989 Muslim leader Khomeini issued Fatwa against Salman Rushdie and he was sentenced to death, but the muslim terrorists threaten rushdie with death just now and because of Rushdie could not come at the largest literary festival in Asia. The young writers from Georgia supported Salman Rushdie, they translated the petition text into georgian and proclaimed their users to join in for freedom of speech and for defence the well-known writer.
I'm glad the civil self-consciousness of georgians  is growing. I think, the civil responsability is not only defence your own citizen, but any citizens too.
If you can read in georgian, go to this link, this is art-portal, wich is made by young georgian poets and writers: like Paata Shamugia, Aleks Chigvinidze, Giorgi Khasaia, Shota Gagarini, etc.
